Kimberley N. Travers is currently a Ph.D. student in History at the University of Memphis. Her research focuses on African American history, women’s history, feminist theory, gender studies, and theology and pop culture. She completed both a M.A. in History from the University of Memphis and her M.A. in Religion with a concentration in African American Religious Studies, from Memphis Theological Seminary. She also served as an assistant with the Rhetoric Race and Religion book series at Lexington Books. She currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee.
